      The Fordham baseball team picked up two wins this weekend in a three-game series against the La Salle Explorers, improving its conference record to 9-6. The Rams missed out on the series sweep, however, dropping the rubber match 2-1 in 11 innings, despite  many chances to win the game.

      The Atlantic 10 postseason is starting to take shape, and the Fordham baseball team is hoping to stay in the picture. The Rams sit in a tie for fifth place with a 7-5 conference record. If the regular season ended today, Fordham would have a place in the A-10 playoffs.

    Ryan Maghini is a senior leader for the Fordham baseball team, playing wherever the team has needed him this season. While switching around the infield, Ryan is also tied for the team lead in home runs, following his lead from last year when he led the team with four homers.

Fordham was downed by the Scarlett Knights 15-4, despite jumping to a one-run lead in the first inning.

      The Fordham baseball team opened conference play over the weekend with a three-game series against UMass-Amherst on March 23 at Houlihan Park. The Rams are looking to improve on their 12-11-1 Atlantic 10 record from last season, in which they missed postseason play.

    Rams Pick Up Win in Series with Florida International; Sweep Pair of Games Versus Maine

    The Fordham baseball team went down to Florida and came back up to New Jersey over the course of spring break to square off against some out-of-conference foes. The Rams opened their play last week in a series against Florida International University, picking up one win in three games against the Panthers.

      It was a busy week for the Fordham baseball team as it played host to a slew of opponents in its first homestand of the season. The team's first stint at Houlihan Park saw Fordham pick up three wins while dropping two against non-conference opponents.

    This season marks the beginning of a new era of Fordham baseball, as Kevin Leighton takes over as head coach. He will replace Nick Restaino, who was relieved of his duties over the summer following 31-23-1 record in the 2011 season. Leighton decided to come to Fordham due to the historic tradition of the program and its overall strength.
