A Look at the New Residence Halls

The Ram Receives an Inside Preview of Campbell, Salice-Conley Halls as Construction Nears Completion

  With the housing lottery rapidly approaching, many students are curious as to the construction status of Campbell and Salice-Conley Halls. ResLife estimates that the majority of rising seniors will occupy these new buildings. As of March 8, when The Ram was given photographic access to the construction site, the building process was actively moving forward and people involved with construction were optimistic about the scheduled fall 2010 opening date. Women’s Tennis Drops Another

  Women’s tennis lost another match, this time at Albany 7-0 in its match this past weekend, a disappointment following its loss to Quinnipiac Feb. 21.  The Lady Rams could not take the doubles point. They opened with freshman Taylor Holt and sophomore Bethany Boyle winning over Albany’s Aubrey Brooks and Caitlin Crowley 9-8 (7-5 in the tiebreaker). Full story

HURT LOCKER’S HISTORIC NIGHT

  The 82nd Annual Academy Awards took place Sunday March 7 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. The ceremony brought 2009 awards season in Hollywood to a close, crowning the war film The Hurt Locker as the year’s best cinematic achievement. This year’s Oscars hosts were Steve Martin (It’s Complicated) (who had previously hosted twice) and Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”). Full story
